You’re all ready for the big date, you’ve prepped and preened for days and finally had a wax.. then you realise things aren’t looking quite like that should. Maybe it’s a bit red afterwards, or the wax is still sticking about like a bad ex-bf. Four quick tips to get you (and your bits) back to their best after a wax.
EEK! YOU NEED TO HEAD STRAIGHT OUT
Rub a small amount of coconut oil over the affected area. The oil will break down any left over wax whilst soothing any tender parts.
YOU’VE GOT SOME STICKY WAX BITS LEFT
Dip a cotton ball in any kind of natural oil and place over the wax. The oil will break down the wax and you should be able to easily wipe the left over bits off.
YOU’RE RED AND TENDER WITH 5 MIN SPARE
Relieve the redness and kill bacteria by placing a clean cloth dipped in cool water and lavender essential oil onto the affected area.
YOU’RE RED AND TENDER WITH 15MIN SPARE AND SOME PRIVACY
Smooth a thin layer of plain yoghurt over the waxed area. Leave for 15mins then rinse with warm water. The cool yoghurt will soothe the pain and reduce redness.
